Pilates is a whole body and mind concept developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. It has has since developed from its early conception to have both incredible fitness and clinical properties, which is why here at Waves we are so passionate about it as a mind-body health platform. We offer group classes as well as private, duo and and semi-private sessions.

Intake session

Are you new to Pilates or to Waves? If you have no injuries then please feel free to book any beginner class. If you have an injury or health condition, or not sure which level is best for you we advise an individual intake session (30, 60 or 90min) so that you begin your journey with us as efficiently, effectively and as safe as possible. 01. Private consultations

At Waves, we offer private, duo, and semi-private sessions for those who would like more personalised attention alongside their group classes. Whether you are looking to work on medical goals, receive a customised programme, or simply prefer a smaller setting, these sessions provide the focused support you need.

Private sessions give you one-on-one attention with a fully tailored programme, while duo sessions are perfect if you’d like to train together with a friend or family member. Semi-privates, with up to three participants, offer a balance between individual guidance and the social aspect of a group.

All formats allow our instructors to adapt to your specific needs and goals, helping you gain deeper awareness of your body and movement, which you can carry into daily life and beyond the studio.

As our physiotherapists are frequently fully booked, we are limiting the amount of medical privates that we are taking on at the moment. To start your private Pilates journey, please use one of the links below to fill out the request form.

Rates for individual consultations

At Waves, our team of experienced instructors is dedicated to catering to your individual preferences and addressing any questions you may have. We offer private consultations tailored to your needs, with pricing that reflects the experience and expertise of our instructors. Our rates range from €657 to €869 for a 10-pack, depending on the level of the instructor, ensuring you receive the highest quality of care and guidance. Our semi-private sessions are for those who would like a balance between individual guidance and the social aspect of a group. With up to 3 people, each follows their own programme while still receiving close attention. To join, you’ll need to have completed at least 4 private consultations first. Check our FAQ here

02. Group sessions

No matter your level, we’ve got you covered in our small-group classes. With over 70 group classes every week, there’s something for everyone – no matter your level or schedule.

We have two main Pilates class types: Mat classes and Equipment classes (reformer, tower, chair).

Investment

We have a range of pricing options, from a monthly membership for those coming multiple times per week through to individual class passes to give you a taste of what Pilates at Waves is about. Do you have a permanent disability (E-pathology) or a social statute with your health insurance (ziekenfonds)? Then please contact us directly for more specific information as Waves gives discounts for this target population to make the sessions more accessible.

These classes are fun, safe and active and are routed in evidence-based practice for those at risk of, or have osteoporosis. A great class for anyone concerned about low bone mineral density and fall prevention. Bones & Balance classes are delivered by a rehabilitation professional or experienced Pilates instructor who has been trained in exercise delivery for bone health and fall prevention. Our B&B Mat classes are a calm, controlled class focused on mobility, stability, and body awareness. Ideal for those who enjoy working on the mat and want to strengthen their body in a gentle yet effective way.

In our Meditation Moment classes, we practise group meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation. We take time to step out of the rush of daily life and be consciously present in the here and now. Exercise is safe and internationally recommended (WHO) for mums-to-be for both physical and mental well-being. Not only will you benefit, but also your little one! Our pregnancy Pilates classes will help you stay active and strong in a safe and effective way. We also bring focus on exercises and movement to prepare you for delivery and the recovery period afterwards. All classes are delivered by professionals who are trained to guide and support through the perinatal period. They have access to multiple support systems in Leuven to refer you to if required.

This Pilates class is suitable once your gynaecologist gives the green light to exercise (usually 6 weeks post-partum) and is tailored for the early post-partum months. It’s a fun class for both mums and babies to enjoy (partners are welcome too!), focusing on mum’s recovery in a supportive environment while offering ways to safely play and interact with your little one. It’s not just exercise for mum — there are also important exercises for baby! Whether you’re new to Pilates or experienced, all are welcome. Classes are led by instructors trained in post-natal and paediatric exercise.

Apprentice Class Waves Leuven

Follow a 1:1 or 1:2 Pilates session with a Polestar Pilates student for only 1 credit from your Equipment pack (usually used for group classes). These sessions are taught by Polestar Pilates students who are in the final stage of their Comprehensive training course and are a great chance for you to enjoy more individual attention from a developing instructor, while using just one credit. This class is appropriate for all level clients, but not suitable for pre-/post-natal clients and those with injuries.
