Gateway Pilates is the perfect introduction to both the Pilates method in general, and to the POLESTAR concept. Gateway Pilates Comprehensive is an ideal entry point if you want to deepen your Pilates experience or start a career as a Pilates trainer. Your course starts with online training at home and then switches to two day experimental practice sessions for collaborative learning.
You will gain a deeper understanding of the Pilates method, learn first selected Pilates equipment exercises, and improve your teaching skills. You can use this weekend as a two day experience or continuing the path to become a POLESTAR Comprehensive Trainer and book the whole comprehensive Series, that will start form October 2022 in Leuven
The POLESTAR Comprehensive Series consists of 6 two-day presence Modules (Gateway SR2-6) and two online modules (PP and SR1). We will teach you in-depth practical and theoretical skills to become a proficient Pilates Practitioner. The Series trains you to use all of the equipment developed from the designs of Joseph Pilates: Reformer, Trapeze Table, Combo Chair, Ladder Barrel and Spine Corrector, as well as some mat exercises. You learn more than 150 of the original and evolved Pilates exercises as well as hundreds of variations and their modifications for diverse populations.
Students are granted access to the POLESTAR Online Platform 2.0 to ensure modern and effective online enhanced education. You learn to conduct POLESTAR Fitness Screenings and improve your reasoning skills in order to assess a client’s needs and select the most effective exercises to bring about change. A series of case studies provide a solid base to assess and design custom exercise sequences and treatment plans. Students also learn advanced tactile, verbal and imagery cues to maximize a client’s potential.
The objective of this highly practical course is to learn about humans’
biomechanics and key anatomical structures. You will be taught to find and
understand these parts of the body and relate them to Pilates
exercises.Myofascial structures will be linked into functional chains, giving you a sense of their functionality during Pilates movements. This is the ideal
foundational course to grow your anatomical knowledge for your work as a
Pilates instructor and movement specialist.
