Valerie Wouters

Valerie is a physiotherapist at Waves and specializes in neurological conditions. Additionally, she has a passion for hydrotherapy and adapted sports activities.

VALERIES BACKGROUND
Valerie graduated in 2021 from KU Leuven. Afterward, she gained experience as a physiotherapist at AZ Sint-Maarten in Mechelen, where she worked with a diverse patient population in the field of neurology (such as Parkinson’s disease, stroke, spinal cord injuries, and more). She has also completed various additional training courses to continue deepening her expertise in the rehabilitation of neurological issues.

WHY SHE DOES WHAT SHE DOES
Valerie finds great fulfillment in seeing people grow, improving their functioning, well-being, and independence. She places a high value on patient-centered care and wants her patients to feel heard and supported.
Valerie feels completely at home in the water and is eager to further specialize in hydrotherapy, which involves providing exercise therapy in water.

VALERIES FUN FACTS
When Valerie is not working, you can find her at the swimming pool, the dance studio, or the indoor football field in bustling Brussels. She also recently discovered the joy of travel, having visited parts of Southeast Asia, and looks forward to exploring more of the world!

Her dedication to her work is as strong as my love for cheese (and that says a lot)!
