Anne Bergmans

Anne’s Background

Anne is joining Waves fulltime as a new graduate physiotherapist, while also embarking on the Comprehensive Pilates course. Originally from Kaulille in Limburg, she is relocating to Leuven to start this new chapter. After graduating in 2022 from KU Leuven with a specialisation in paediatrics, Anne discovered a growing interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and working with athletes, which led her to pursue a Master’s degree in MSK Sport. She has already gained two years of professional experience as a physiotherapist in Limburg.

One of the highlights of her training was an internship with the Miami City Ballet, combining her passion for dance and physiotherapy. It was there that she was first introduced to Pilates and saw its integration into rehabilitation, an approach she has embraced ever since.

Why She Does What She Does

Anne is driven by a desire to motivate people to take an active role in their own health. She values listening carefully to the obstacles her patients face and working together to find solutions. She is passionate about showing the link between physical activity and mental well-being, and about guiding patients towards their desired level of function and sporting goals. Working with performing artists holds a special place in her heart, as it brings together her love of movement, creativity, and healthcare.

She is part of a twin, with her sister now living in Portugal. A true explorer at heart, she loves to see as much of the world as possible, from mountain treks and glaciers to coastal adventures, cultural trips, and visits to her sister. Always curious, she enjoys trying new hobbies, including crochet, painting, writing, cooking, and baking.
