Wout’s background
Wout studied Physical Education and Movement Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and has been working as a tennis coach in Bierbeek for over three years. Alongside tennis, he also teaches snowboarding to groups and individuals of different levels. Through his coaching experience, Wout has learned to adapt his approach to each person, taking into account their individual needs, goals and pace of learning. He believes that staying strong and healthy is important for everyone, not just athletes, and at every stage of life. That’s one of the things that drew him to Waves, where physiotherapy, training and Pilates come together under one roof.
Why he does what he does
For Wout, one of the most rewarding parts of coaching is seeing people progress at their own pace. He enjoys helping others develop their skills, build confidence and discover what they’re capable of, while making sure the process remains enjoyable. He believes that movement and physical activity have an important role to play in staying healthy throughout life, regardless of someone’s age or sporting background. At Waves, he’s looking forward to broadening his experience and learning more about Pilates. He’s particularly drawn to the multidisciplinary approach, where different areas of expertise come together to support people’s health and well-being. For Wout, joining Waves is an opportunity to keep learning, share his enthusiasm for movement and grow alongside a team with a common goal.
