Naomi Uten
Naomi’s Background
Naomi grew up in Leuven, where her passion for movement began early. As a child, she explored gymnastics, acrobatics, and handball, but it was dance, classical ballet, contemporary, modern, and pointe, that captured her heart.
She studied Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences at KU Leuven. Currently, Naomi works as a practice assistant for the lumbar spine department at KU Leuven and is about to begin her Comprehensive Pilates training. Outside the studio, you’ll find her walking, running, or catching waves as surfcoach.
Why She Does What She Does
Naomi’s curiosity about the human body began in childhood; even at the doctor’s office, she was full of questions: which muscle, which test, why this, why that? She loves finding solutions and discovering the bigger picture of health and movement.
For Naomi, motivating and activating people is essential. She believes in empowering clients to take an active role in their recovery and achieve their goals. The caring, social aspect of her work allows her to build meaningful connections while making a real difference in people’s lives.
Fun Facts About Naomi
Naomi is a true “busy bee.” She dances throughout the week, surfs in summer (or rides her waveskate when there are no waves), and finds peace in the mountains, a love inherited from her parents. She listens to 70s and 80s classics like Fleetwood Mac and Dire Straits, captures memories with her old Kodak camera, and enjoys creative outlets like sewing, crocheting, and keeping a smashbook. Oh, and she’s a devoted cat lover!
