Olga’s Background

Olga (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist originally from Vladivostok, living and working between Belgium and Serbia. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Dance at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp / De Singel International Arts Center, where her research explores themes of borders and belonging, drawn from her own experience of migration and the search for home. Alongside her artistic practice, Olga is a Polestar Pilates teacher with over 10 years of experience, offering both group and private classes on mat and equipment.

Why she does what she does

Olga simply cannot imagine her life without movement, it’s in her genes, and she’ll be the first to tell you so. As her artistic practice grew, she found herself asking a bigger question: how can movement make an impact in times of crisis and sociopolitical chaos? That led her to teaching, not dance technique or choreography, but movement itself: bodily presence, awareness, and helping people find a genuine sense of freedom within themselves.

Fun facts about Olga

When Olga is not teaching or creating, you might find her behind the decks, she’s a fan of experimental electronic music and DJs occasionally. To keep her movement life varied, she hits the bouldering wall twice a week. And if you really want to hear a good story, ask her about 2024, when she took part in the international artistic project Liquid Becomings and paddled by boat downstream on the Tagus River from Spain to Portugal, two of the most adventurous weeks of her life.

Olga can teach in English, Russian, Serbian, and is currently trying to learn Dutch.
