Vragen als \u2018gaan ze zich niet bezeren?\u2019 en \u2018gaat dit hun groei niet stoppen?\u2019 komen dan vaak naar boven. Dankzij krachttraining kunnen ze niet alleen sterker worden (tot wel 50%!), maar hebben kinderen bijkomend een lager risico op het oplopen van algemene blessures en zelfs sportspecifieke blessures in sporten als voetbal, gymnastiek en hardlopen [1,2]. Deze richtlijnen adviseren zelfs om 3 keer per week een 60 minuten lang durende krachttraining te doen [4].<\/p>\n<p>Jammer genoeg voldoet een groot deel van onze jongere bevolking niet aan deze richtlijnen. 81% van de adolescenten met leeftijd tussen 11 en 17 jaar zijn onvoldoende actief wereldwijd [5]. Deze trend kan deels te wijten zijn aan het stijgende aandeel dat kinderen doorbrengen achter een scherm [6]. Ook buiten deze schermtijd, vertoeven kinderen tot wel 8 uur lang per dag in een zittende positie, denk maar aan de tijd dat ze in de les moeten zitten of huiswerk moeten maken [6].<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_large\"><\/div><div class=\"g-cols wpb_row us_custom_ab613840 via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3><b>Wat is de conclusie rond krachttraining bij kinderen?<\/b><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Volgens de laatste evidentie kan correct voorgeschreven krachttraining, onder supervisie, vele unieke voordelen teweegbrengen bij het kind. Het is echter wel belangrijk om krachttraining te doen met een juiste techniek, onder het toeziend oog van een gekwalificeerde health professional [7]. Verder moet er voldaan worden aan de aanbevolen gewichten, sets en aantal herhalingen die in lijn liggen met het kind zijn\/ haar leeftijd [7].
